VENOM TOXICITY - the bite of Daddy long-legs spider is not considered dangerous to human health. They are a non-aggressive group of spiders; their fangs very small but may pierce human skin.
Area of distribution - Australia-wide. Introduced from Europe, the Daddy long-legs spider is probably the best known spider world-wide.
Spider Identification - very long, fine hair-like legs with body smaller than a pea - about 15cm Including legs. Generally a dark silver colour with brown patterns.
Habitat - often found in the house, laundry, garage and sheds with thin, tangled webs behind doors, in wall corners and ceiling. Daddy long-legs spiders eat Red back and other spiders.
